As starting point is allowed in either Svinesund or Haparanda this is indicated as follow where north stands for northbound and equally south for southbound. | |||||||

Restarts can be made by paddlers depending on weather situation after start, or by other unforeseen reason. Regardless, the paddlers have to get back to starting place and announce restart, after earlier (or simultaneous) announcement of abandoning.
Weather bulletins
By telephone or mobile phone one can get coastal forecast at 0771-53 54 00. The forecast is given for twenty-four hours and is charged at normal call fee.
If a longer forecast is desired you will call 0900-20 20 333. This will cover 5 days ahead. This service is charged at SEK 9.90 per minute (cost 2009).
For both alternatives count that the forecasts are updated every hour. The service is handled by voice meaning that mentioning a place along desired route gives the forecast
for that area.
How is the weather for the paddlers? Follow the forecast in the Weather map.
SMHI has many services to choose from. It is therefore vice to contact their customer support and discuss your need. Some complementary services are not mentioned in their
over all presentation such as having their forecast sent by SMS.
Shootings with live ammunition
For information about shootings with live ammunition over water during season at Ringenäs we will have a link to a PDF-document as soon as we got the scheme. This will
be actual for a period of 1-2 weeks at the time and we hope to be able continue the information as long as our paddlers are in the area.
